A Plus Index is an application that allows the scanning and processing of documents from the level of multifunction devices. Additionally, it enables the initial editing and describing of the scanned document.

Clear

The Plus Index module allows using devices located in a company to scan the documents sent to the Plus Workflow system. The application allows indexing the scanned and electronic documents forwarded to the system. Moreover, it monitors the content of a source directory on which are saved the invoice images with the barcodes. Among multiple module functionalities, it is worth mentioning the following ones:

  • TIFF and PDF files recognition,
  • merging, separating, diminution, zooming, and rotating of the documents’ images,
  • automatic barcode recognition,
  • indexing and displaying the document’s image in one window,
  • downloading a set of indexes required to describe a selected type of document from the Plus Workflow/DMS system,
  • using the API programming interface to communicate with the Plus DMS or Plus Workflow system.

Characteristics

The module allows using multifunction devices used in a company to scan documents to manage them in the Plus Workflow system.

License characteristics of the plug-in:

  • License – for a workstation, an unlimited number of users, processes, and documents,
  • The component designed for the server version of the Plus Workflow.

Technical aspects

For the proper operation of the Plus Index application, essential are:

  • connection with the Plus Workflow server located at the indicated IP address or DNS name, as well as opening the port on which the Plus Workflow listens (most often 8080, 80),
  • workstation with the Windows operating system (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server, Windows 10),
  • Microsoft .NET Framework component installed on the workstation (at least 3.5 version),
  • workstation with parameters (at least):
    • 1.6 GHz Intel Pentium IV processor,
    • 512 MB RAM,
    • hard disk space: 10 MB,
    • 10/100/1000 Mbps network adapter.
